Detroit Zoo E-Recycling Event
Members of the Cirba Solutions Wixom volunteered for the Detroit Zoo E-Recycling Event on April 12th & 13th. During the course of the event, 4.75 trailers with e-waste material and 700 lbs. of batteries were collected. The event’s mission is to collect electronics and batteries to reduce landfill waste, protect animal habitats by reducing the need to mine for new metals, and safeguard our environment!
Cirba Solutions continues to align itself with events that focus on the pillars and mission of our company and our SustainABILITY 10,000 program.

Michigan Science Center
Cirba Solutions was the premier sponsor for Student Day at the Michigan Science Center, and we joined the Motor City Cruise Basketball team( and their mascot Nitro) as a co-host. The event promoted STEM discovery, learning, and interactive exhibits and programs for students. The 200 students (from four area schools) who attended enjoyed the science shows, explored various STEM topics, and learned about the natural world and the built environment.
Cirba Solutions is excited to help students explore and develop an interest in STEM.

Motor City Cruise Education (STEAM) Day-2025
Cirba Solutions sponsored the Motor City Cruise Education Day Game and costs for 200 students. The Motor City Cruise, an NBA G League affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, hosts several Education days throughout the season to help educators and schools recognize students achievements and hard work. For many students, this is their first time attending a professional game.
As a sponsor, Cirba Solutions contribution ensured that the 1,900+ students who attended this game had an exciting experience that celebrated their accomplishments and encouraged them to push towards continued success throughout the school year.
Nation Inventors Hall of Fame-Camp Invention
Nation Inventors Hall of Fame-Camp Invention students are encouraged and inspired to build essential STEM skills through collaboration and problem solving, design, business, and invention.
Earth Week & Our SustainABILITY 10,000
To celebrate the kick-off of Earth Week and our SustainABILITY 10,000 Community Engagement campaign, we participated in the following events to educate on and promote battery recycling. Cirba Solutions volunteered at the Detroit Zoo Greeenfest E-Recycling event on April 20th & 21st, partnered with Red Oak Refillery and My New Favorite Thing, both out of Waterford, Mich., for their Earth Day recycling event on Saturday, April 20th, and one of our dedicated employees spoke to a local elementary school about recycling.
These efforts are just the beginning of our commitment to educate and support our communities as we help in diverting battery waste from local landfills.
South Lyon East High School Sustainability Club
Cirba Solutions had the pleasure of hosting the students at South Lyon East High School Sustainability Club on a tour of our Wixom facility. The students learned how the facility received, stored, sorted, and disassembled batteries to be sent off for processing. Cirba supplied the students with Battey recycling kits to aid them in their efforts to educate students about collection, recycling, and sustainability at their school.
11th Annual Fun Run
Cirba Solutions co-sponsored the 11th Annual Fun Run. The Run’s mission was to promote students’ health and fitness and raise money for reading programs, technology and safety upgrades, and playground equipment improvements.
This year, the Run raised $16,000 towards these efforts. Cirba was proud to participate in this event and invest in our youth.
Toys for Tots
The Wixom office employees generously donated to the SW Oakland County Toys for Tots. Their donations will help to ensure that the local children will have a great Christmas.
